In today’s world living in cities could be perceived as exausting with no benefits. However, I am of the opinion that the pros of a city life outweight the cons. The following paragraphs will delve into the advantages and disadvantages of this choice as opposed to establish our lives in rural areas.
One cannot deny that cities offer a plethora of opportunities when it comes to career progression as well as leisure and entertainement options. Businesses always choose metropolises to locate their offices and companies because of the advancement of the infrastructure available as well as the diverse type of potential employees offered coming from different backgrounds of experience. A shining example of this is London with its multicultural population. Furthermore, large cities are a source of enjoyment with teathers, cinemas, concert venues and restaurants creating dishes from different cusins around the globe.
Conversely, cities are becoming more expensive and densily populated, causing people to overwork to support themselves financially and they often need to share the flat with strangers to be able to handle their montly budget for their accomodation. This has also an impact on the environment as huge urban areas are now growing vertically creating more skyscapers to deal with the increase demand from individuals wanting to live where the massive companies locate their businesses. However, this is impactful on the amount of green present in the surrandings as well as the quality of the air we breath.
In sum, I maintain that the city life is beneficial for people seeking carreer opportunites and leasure entertainment; however, I do hope that governments will implement policies to make cities more environement friendly.
