Technology is developing daily, and it has been observed that it has useful usage in various things, as computers are used in education. Although some individuals believe that teachers do not have an important impact in classes. To some extent, I disagree with this statement.
Firstly, there are many reasons why teachers’ training outweighs computers’. For instance, trainers can teach lessons by applying motivating and entertaining methods to absorb pupils. Additionally, professors not only teach knowledge of books but also convey standards of morals. Furthermore, they are able to show their emotions and feelings through eye contact. Humans are flexible and need to be understood and communicated well, which can be provided through tutors. Moreover, the educater can identify the problems and defects of the students and root them out. Face-to-face classes lead children to socialize and make friends, unlike computers.
Secondly, computers have advantages in students’ study. Computers can enable distance learning, which helps save time as seen in previous years when we had to study online due to the COVID-19 virus. In addition, students can study at home and reduce costs. However, there are numerous drawbacks too. For example, computers cannot express feelings; therefor, they might become repetitive and boring after a while. Thirdly, these equipments have many destructive effects on pupils’ health, such as eye pain, backache, and deviation of the neck vertebrae.
Finally, though computers have widely appeared in education, but they have to be kept in balance. In my point of view, teachers’ role is mandatory in the classroom, and there will not be any alternative for their guidance.
