Computer games are famous among people of all ages and countries. Parents believe that games can be hurtful to kids and this does not have a big educational impact. I somewhat disagree with this statement because games can improve social and imagination skills and can increase their results; however, games can be addictive.
First of all, computer games are helpful for clear thinking because when kids play games, they think about every way and decide which one would be the best for their progress. Moreover, games can upgrade a person’s communication skills. While playing, they communicate with people from different countries and nationalities, which in turn, help them to learn new languages and not to feel scared to talk with people.
Secondly, games can improve a child’s scores and the main reason is focusing. While children play, they learn how to focus on essential things, which in turn, helps them in the exams and lessons. Harvard University’s research shows that people who play games have less problems with concentration than those who do not.
On the other hand, games can cause problems with addictiveness. For instance, recently scientists investigated some colours which manipulate our brain, especially children’s brain, and nowadays, developers create games with these special colours which makes it challenging for kids to stop playing.
In conclusion, computer games help with learning new languages and avoiding communication problems because of speaking with people from other countries and additionally helping to think more imaginatively because games require choosing a better way. Moreover, games solve problems with concentration. But games can be addictive because of special attractive colours which manipulate the human brain.
