It is widely believed that technical development has caused teachers less crucial in advanced education. From my perspective, I would lean towards such a view and will analyze it in detail in the following essay.
On the one hand, Technology cannot completely replace the role of teachers in today’s technological age. Technology helps provide a richer and more accessible source of knowledge for learners. However, education is not just about transmitting information, but also a process of explaining, guiding learners’ understanding, and developing their critical thinking and situational analysis skills. In achieving these goals, teachers play the role of guides, helping students understand lessons in depth, and inspiring and motivating them to learn. Technology can hardly guarantee the effectiveness of all these elements.
On the one hand, The role of teachers has become even more important in today’s technological age. Teachers are responsible for selecting and integrating appropriate technology into their teaching, and for helping students use technology effectively. It’s undeniable that without teacher guidance, students are easily overwhelmed by information, leading to passive and ineffective learning. Furthermore, teachers must pay attention to students’ emotions and psychology, and constantly adjust their teaching methods to suit each individual student.
In conclusion, technology is merely a supporting tool, not a replacement for teachers. Furthermore, the role of teachers has not diminished but has become increasingly diverse and professional. It can be affirmed that teachers are the key factor determining the quality of modern education.
