Nowadays, as supermarkets flourished almost all the commodities from different parts of the world are available and this makes it convenient for every one to buy similar products from any where in the world. This essay explains the pros and cons of this phenomena, and explain how advantages overweigh disadvantages.

There are a multitude of ways through which citizens can get benefited from this scenario. Firstly, many people can buy the goods that are manufactured in different country with out any hesitation. For example, kisses chocolates which are previously available in united states are now even available in many general stores in my country. Moreover, they do not have have to wait for their relatives from foreign countries and this will benefit both side parties as their relatives need not stress about what to buy for their family members as the products are now available in their country also. Secondly, this increases the GDP and the economic condition of the developing regions. for instance, people can buy the same high end laptop in their own land with out paying for any extra delivery and taxes to the other country directly. There might be little expensive but you need not wait for many days for the product to get delivered. Therefore, there are lot of positives not only for the communities but also for the authorities.

However, there are some negatives to this trend as well. To begin with, this method of importing goods from foreign land decreases the production of the local commodities. Many small scale industries has shut down and might lead to unemployment. Not only this, the culture and heritage of the nation will be destroyed as people stopped using the national manufactured goods. For example, over the last five years as the star bucks stared to set up its ventures, many local start ups are shutting down their cafes because of competitions there are facing. Despite, these challenges humans are tremendously benefited from this scenario.

To conclude, this essay discussed the positives and the negatives of the countries becoming similar as people are willing to buy the same product any where in the world. Although, there are many disadvantages, I believe that positives overweigh the negatives.
