Band 5+: Describe the scene of going to a trip and returning back.

The Sun shone brightly, with its color looking like an orange plucked from the trees of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. We desired to stand in snow, away from where the hot spells of Punjab had captured us. Making snowmen, admiring the formidable mountains and exploring a new culture was all we dreamt for.

We returned back to home after offering Friday’s prayer. It was late June, all kids at home filled with boredom in their eyes, wanting to go and play out but the temperature was extremely furious. I had come from Bahrain to enjoy vacations in Pakistan along with my uncle who had also come from Saudi Arabia. Everyone gathered in my room, discussing some adventure to set on. We thought of traveling to nearby cities like Lahore but it didn’t work out because the problem would still be present, the hot weather. Everyone had the idea of journeying to Northern areas but they didn’t dare to say the word. Why? Because who would be looking after our Grandparents? Well, my dad rang a call to his eldest brother, he would only be able to convince my Grandparents and additionally he had had a great travelling experience. Next day, at 1pm he comes to our house, goes into my grandfather’s room and greats him and says,” Dad, you know the way we never annoy you right?” My grandfather replies, “Yes and?” My uncle says,” Would you allow us to embark on a journey to Northern Area, It’ll be of great entertainment for the kids, especially for those kids who have come to visit Pakistan.” He replies with silence, leaving everyone in more suspense. For the adults, his silence was an answer that meant ”NO” but we kids did still have some hope. We all sat melancholy in the T.V lounge until my grandfather came out of his room and said, “So, what’s your plan?” We all burst out in cheer and he was really happy to see us on cloud nine .We planned to leave 8am in the very next morning to Murree, a hill station in the Lower Himalayas. When I woke up, there was hustle everywhere. I took a shower, changed and had cereal. And at exactly 8:13 am our private van was outside our home. We said goodbye to our Grandparents and left with their kind prayers. The trip was extremely wholesome, but the return was even more hilarious. Many of us had diarrhea and most of us were under the weather. We all wished to see our home although we had set on a journey for only 3 nights. We reached home, dove onto our beds and snored.

This was the best trip of my life. It was filled with exploration and joy. I was happy to get rid of the boiling weather for some days. After that trip we were never able to go on another one. I guess trips are hard when you have someone to look after.
