Being in a public eye brought a lot of pros and cons among politicians. In this regard, a public servant profile should not be exposed in a periodical. This essay will explore the extent to which it should not be condemn and become a normal act of showcasing the important details of a reputed person.
One compelling reason is that it will be prone to any attacks from opposing party of the said politician. This can be use against not only him/her but the lives of other family members and any one works under his/her office. For example, a recent news in ABC channel, reports that the prime minister of Indonesia together with his son was abducted after an article was written in a magazine where in they’ve watched a football game in the arena. This shows that details in regards to personal errands should not be exposed.
Furthermore, another crucial point to keep in mind is that this is against the law which is invading privacy of one’s information. If this will be continued, writer and reporters might face problems in consequence of their mindless actions. For instance, a publisher from the Manila times magazine, received a subpoena after he exposed the child of a governor in another woman revealed. Subject matters like this should be kept confidential and secret.
In my opinion, often people say that once you are a public figure, you are a public property, and the constituents has the right to know everything about you. Like whereabouts since it is one of attributes of being a politician, but I believe we should not include their private lives considering these are people too. They have feelings and own secrets that normal people have.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that the necessary details of one’s politician should not be published in a tabloid.
