In today’s world there are two categories of countries. One is Developed countries like the USA, Canada, Germany and Japan. These countries are modern, have huge economies and a great quality of life. Second is developing countries like India, china, Turkey. These countries are still improving their economy and their peoples lives. Climate change is a problem for all countries and in my opinion Developed countries have a higher obligation to tackle climate change than developing countries.
Firstly, I will talk about the cost of tackling climate change. Climate change is the most important factor for the world. Because it will affect what goes-on in the future. So, we have to protect nature. If we are successful, climate change can be stopped. Its means that cost has to be managed by developed countries because they have better and much more budget than developing countries. If we look from first aspect that is about cost or investment, developed countries have a higher obligation because developing countries don’t have the budget to fight climate change.
Secondly, the developed countries have more expertise to tackle climate change. Because developed countries have strong contacts with other countries and international organizations such as the United Nations or other private organizations compared to developing countries. This means that they can plan and execute the plan better than developing countries. The developed countries can also help to make new policy to tackle climate change.
Finally, in my opinion Developed countries should tackle climate change because they are mostly responsible for it as well. Most of the carbon emissions are due to the economic activity in the developed countries and they have a large carbon footprint compared with the developing countries. This is why I believe it is the duty of the developed countries to try their best to fix the situation because developing countries are suffering because of their emissions.
In a nutshell, developed countries can solve this problem more effectively and efficiently. In addition, it is not as difficult for developed countries to communicate because they have prestige and their economic situation is much better, so their investment will be higher than that of developing countries. I believe climate change can be tackled if all countries work together.
