Band 6+: Discuss the positive and negative effects of advertising on individuals and society.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In the era of digital world, advertisements are becoming popular enormously and enhancing the growth of business all over the world. It has been observed with great concern that advertisement often leads to extravagant spendings resulting inappropriate loss of resources. I strongly believe, advertisement has both positive and negative impacts on the society and people should wisely purchase the products by getting proper awareness to avoid the negative effects.

In the age of modern digital world, advertisement has become the crucial part in the launch of new brands and marketing of various products. Manufacturers smartly utilize the power of digital and social media for launching advertisement campaigns to improve significance of their products in the user market. Furthermore, good marketing strategies can change simple products into favorite brands of public. For instance, cosmetic companies showcase their products by hiring the celebrities and earn huge recognition and business all over the world.

It is a proven fact that after watching advertisements multiple times, people ultimately indulge in purchasing new products. This often benefits consumerism and people purchase the products which are not necessarily required leading to extravagance and waste of money. Furthermore, quality of products is often compromised when a product is in great demand incurring higher losses to public.

In conclusion, greater advertisement spendings result into enhanced business development and higher profits, but it often sometimes leads to procurement of unnecessary articles by consumers. Instead of being influenced by advertisements, people should purchase the products by taking into account the reviews of users and society should be more conscious about the quality of products.
