In today’s modern society, people are showing a sense of perturbation towards the decrease in quality of life, especially in metropolises. This often derives from the consequence of unemployment and different kinds of pollution. This situation should be addressed by strong remedies, including establishing new companies for laborers and raising public awareness about the detrimental impacts pollution has on our well-being.

There is a bunch of justifications that can be attributed to this trend. Firstly, joblessness is one of the primary causes that leads to people’s low quality of life. Being unable to get a job and earn a living to purchase necessary belongings or pay for recreational activities can give individuals a sense of dissatisfaction, which means that their living standards can not be upgraded. In India, nearly half of the population in this country are suffering from poverty and starvation since they are not provided with well-paid occupations. Secondly, a vast array of pollution can negatively influence people’s quality of life. For instance, in some big cities, exhaust fumes from vehicles, and sewage from manufacturing factories can make a great contribution to air pollution. As a result, the respiratory systems of residents in these places will be significantly affected.

With a view to resolving this serious issue, plenty of solutions should be taken into consideration by the government. In the first place, creating new firms in large cities is an emergency requirement. By getting jobs with high salaries, people are able to have sufficient money to meet their demands thus enhancing living standards. More importantly, to protect themselves from serious health problems and prolong life expectancy, individuals should have a depth understanding of ways to protect the environment and how detrimental pollution influences their quality of life.

To sum up, the decline in living standards results from the lack of high-paying jobs and air pollution. Therefore, authorities should take charge of tackling this problem by establishing new enterprises in densely- populated areas and raising public awareness in order to protect their physical health.
