Telecommunication technology plays an important role in sharing information and bringing people closer. Thanks to its development, smartphones were created, and they have become irreplaceable devices in our lives. The idea that using mobile phones in public might be banned is unacceptable for some people, but it is justifiable for others. However, I completely disagree with the restriction of cell phones in public.
First, phones have a wide range of functions. For example, young people often use phones not only to contact other people but also to study every day when they are out of their schools or houses. Moreover, there are many self-learning applications that can be installed in the phones. Besides, listening to music by phones when waiting for buses makes people relaxed. In connection to this, individuals can easily be updated with news, send or receive emails and make friends through their social networking sites like Facebook. The convenience of mobile phones will be against the limitations.
Second, phones can be useful in emergency situations. For instance, when accidents occur in public, people will be in danger if they cannot ask for help. In addition, foreigners are able to find ways easily and quickly when exploring cities. Maps in phones will show them the correct and suitable directions to travel. Also, the government will advance telecommunication systems to spread directly absolutely vital information to citizens like earthquakes, floods or terrorism. The prevention of using phones outdoor will cause a lot of inconveniences.
To conclude, it is quite hard to imagine to live without cell phones nowadays. I personally believe that mobile phones should be allowed in public because of their advantages.
