I think it is bad to use internet as a formal education platform. A lot of teachers have been teaching online but, they are not actually teaching, they just put their learning material on the internet and want their students to learn on their own. It might save their energy for school. However, the students will get lazy and they might not have the discipline to open and study the material.
The internet will have bad effects on academic study in the future. Some of you might disagree with me as the internet has lots of learning materials we can learn. Most students nowadays will prefer to have face- to- face interaction while learning rather than learning by themselves. A Teachers can put their material on the internet but they cannot expect their students to learn it by their own. They also have to explain it to them so the students can get a clear understanding. .
Face- to- face learning is important because by interacting with students, they will learn faster. Teachers also can see what their students do while they teach. For example, when we as teachers do online learning, we canno’t force the students to turn on their camera unless there is a rule for that. However, because of most schools don’t have that kind of rule, they cannot force the students. This can result in teachers being unable to observe what their students do while they teach, maybe they are listening or maybe some of them are not even attending the class although they may seem to appear online.
In conclusion, teachers can put their learning materials on the internet but they also need to have the responsibility of teaching and explaining them to the students.. I personally think that most students would prefer to learn face- to- face than online because it will give them the chance to interact with the teachers and can discuss things with more ease and clarity.
