There are some countries where a students are likely to study in their motherland near to a relatives, while a students from the other countries prefer separating from a family. As I see it, there are more advantages of moving away from a family rather than disadvantages.
To begin with, a separation can give a students variety of essential characteristics such as responsibility, self-confidence and self-reliability. These ones are really needed in adult’s life. Students can’t rely on parents who always took care of them, and they start seeing some toughnesses that will make them stronger. For instance, they wouldn’t like to make parents worried about them, so they will solve their issues and make a decisions by their own. Students who stayed in their homeland, obviously, will have more comfortable environment to live, however they may end up having too childish position that may lead to unsatisfaction in own life.
Moreover, end of high school and start of university period may give student variety of opportunities and changes. Students may feel anxious about making new friends, finding an accomodation in unknown city however, when they achieve it they will, definitely, feel proud and confident. That will help them forget about being too shy, as well as assistant in winning their fear.
In conlusion, as every new step of life moving away for studying to another city and separating from family members will not be easy, that will lead to a variety of uncomfortable consequences, but at the same time that will give a decent amount of experience and will broaden up horizon of student as well. Therefore, I esteem that benefits will definitely outweigh the negative aspects.
