In today’s society, more and more world demands for oil and gas energy, which resulted in individuals needing to find new production of unrenewable energy in rural and untouched forest areas. I personally believe that the benefits generally outweigh the drawbacks.
On the one hand, it is possible for many people worldwide to look for new sources of energy, which has several advantages. From an economic perspective, when people find new supplies of energy, this phenomenon can lead to fulfill the demands that may often increase annually and may decrease the level of crisis. For instance, For instance, when new oil reserves are discovered in remote areas, governments can stabilize fuel prices, which helps industries operate smoothly and prevents economic downturns. Moreover, when many governments or individuals look for new supplies of energy in rural areas, this situation significantly enhances the economy in those areas because it can encourage many businessmen to establish their companies there. To elucidate, the economy of North Maluku Province in 2020 recorded a high growth at approximately 17 percent because many manufacturers have been established there.
On the other hand, it is imperative to reassess that this situation also has negative effects. On an environmental standpoint, individuals who established their companies in the rural areas substantially damage nature, which significantly lead to deforestation and disappearance of biodiversity. For example, many companies cut off the forest easily to find new supplies, which definitely cultivates air pollution and also their vehicles still use unrenewable energy. On a societal level, this phenomenon absolutely threatens the local society because they disappear from their habitat, which dramatically leads to new culture entering. However, this problem can be solved by implementing strict environmental regulations while preserving indigenous cultures through sustainable development policies.
To conclude, while this can substantially rise to the disappearance of untouched nature and local society, this can be tackled by protecting the environment and cultures. Thus, I firmly believe that the advantages generally surpass the disadvantages, as it undoubtedly prevents the economic crisis and enhances the economic regions.
