Band 6+: Economic growth in recent years made some people in both developed countries and developing countries richer. However, research shows that while people in developing countries are happier, people in developed countries seem not happier than before. Why does this happen? What can we learn from it?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The economy has grown recently(,) which made people in both developed and developing countries become richer than in the past. However, (RESEARCHERS HAVE FOUND THAT) the happiness level of developed countries is lower than (THOSE) in developing (NATIONS/STATES) This essay will shed light on the driving factors behind this problem before suggesting several viable solutions that should be adopted to tackle it. Several factors can be attributed to this issue, and I will (PROPOSE SOME MEASURES) to improve the situation.

There are two main reasons which can account for this issue. One cause of this problem is that (THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PEOPLE IN DEVELOPING NATIONS IMPROVED SIGNIFICANTLY), from having access to sufficient food and healthcare to better education. In contrast, in developed countries, where basic needs are already met, earning more money does not necessarily bring more happiness and may even lead to increased stress and pressure. Another reason is the widening gap between the rich and the poor, along with the tendency for social comparison, (WHICH) makes many people feel dissatisfied despite higher incomes.

To alleviate the issue, two solutions should be adopted. Firstly, countries should shift their focus from mere economic growth to improving overall well-being, such as investing in healthcare, promoting work-life balance, and fostering a society that values personal fulfillment over material wealth. Secondly, fairer income distribution policies can help reduce inequality, creating an environment where everyone can benefit from economic progress rather than just a small group of people.

In conclusion, there are (SEVERAL FACTORS) behind the issue, and the aforementioned solutions should be implemented to deal with this problem.
