Cars and motorcycles remain used by the majority of people, who are aware of their negative influence on the environment. In my opinion, to reduce the use of these vehicles, the government needs to create better conditions than currently exist for public transport and alternative ways to get from one place to another.
The government should provide requirements for citizens to reduce the use of cars and motorcycles. For example, expand public transport: buses, trains, and so on. Creating great conditions for public transport will be intentionally refused by the majority of people. Most citizens prefer the most convenient way to use transport. Specifically, if it is cheap and available, they would use public transport more often. Expanding public vehicles provides a reduction in the use of cars and motorcycles.
Creating alternative modes of movement can also prevent negative effects on the environment caused by cars and motorcycles. For instance, using bikes and scooters is the best way to get from one place to another. Firstly, it is much cheaper than cars. Secondly, it saves time and avoids traffic jams. So, building bike lanes can prevent air pollution.
In conclusion, most people are aware of the negative impacts caused by cars and motorcycles. In spite of this, they continue to use these kinds of vehicles. Promoting convenient public transport and building conditions for bikes and scooters help prevent essential environmental problems.
