It is proposed that the state should bear the responsibility for subsidizing the tertiary fee for all individuals. In my opinion, while it is valid to some extent that not only attenders but also the country would benefit if this law is formalized, making the university fee free for all students is far from the ultimate goal.
It is understandable why some subscribe to the view point that students should be entitled to approach higher education without paying any tuition fee. The crux of this argument lies in the fact that people should have the right to acquire university degrees despite their less financially privileged, given that students are equal in intelligence and scholastic capability should be imparted equivalent educating program. Another justification is that unfurling more chances for people to pursuit further education could elevate education level of a whole country and develop its progress significantly as university students are well-rounded prepared with specialized realms, which enable them to get well-paid jobs in those particular fields, contributing to the prosperous economy of their state.
Notwithstanding the aforementioned arguments, I strongly believe that providing free tertiary education is not feasible due to a number of reasons. First and foremost, formalizing this law could pose a severe load on education system due to the fact that education costs can be exorbitant, which might push the government to the edge of bankruptcy. To be more specific, this requires greater spending allocation to education, potentially leading into a budget deficit for other crucial sectors such as health and entertainment. To add credence to my argument, if university charge is sponsored by the government, many attenders would generally take it for granted and neglect their duty to put effort in institutions . For instance, an individual seems to perform better and get greater success in institution if they have to pay for their course than that who are paid for all school fees.
In a nutshell, although providing free university tuition for students can bring about wide-range benefits, asking the state to be under the obligation to provide free higher education is not feasible.
