There is an opinion that every teenager should stay in school until the age of eighteen. In my view, this is a well-justified position for several key reasons.
One of these reasons is that teenagers are not fully mature until the age of eighteen. In our country’s law, everyone must remain under their parents’ control until turning eighteen. Staying in school helps them develop their knowledge, discover their skills, and learn how to communicate with others. Schools enhance their leadership abilities and assist them in choosing the right career path for their future. For instance, in the US and Asia, teenagers study in grades 12 and 13, which allows them to fully understand their strengths and select suitable universities. Without these opportunities, students might not acquire a high level of knowledge, leaving the less privileged isolated from learning.
Another important reason is that staying in school until eighteen can provide equal educational opportunities for everyone. All students, including those with disabilities, have access to high-quality education. This can encourage everyone to view school more positively and be eager to gain knowledge. For example, students from low-income families can continue their education and obtain the qualifications needed to enter university. As a result, students would not struggle to find their preferred jobs.
In conclusion, I fully agree with the idea that everyone should study until the age of eighteen, as it offers two main advantages: acquiring high-quality knowledge and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
