Some people think that face-to-face talking is ruined because of social media like WhatsApp, Instagram, or Snapchat. I don’t agree with that. I think we still talk to people in real life, and social media is just another way to talk, not something that broke everything.
First of all, we still meet and talk to people at school, at home, and in public places. We still talk to friends during breaks, at lunch, and in class. Social media didn’t stop us from doing that.
Also, social media helps us talk to people who are far away. I can chat with my cousins or friends who live in another city or country. And sometimes, we even use it to make plans to meet in real life. So it can help face-to-face talking too.
Another reason is that people are starting to understand that too much time online is not good. Some of my friends take breaks from phones and spend more time outside or with family. So real-life talking is still important to many people.
So in conclusion, I don’t think face-to-face talking is broken. We still need it and use it every day. Social media is just one more way to talk, but it didn’t replace real talking with people around us.
