Social media has indeed taken over our generation. It has taken a crucial part in our daily lives. From exploring the world, sharing photos, making friends to even driving.Undoubtedly technology has made our lives much simpler that people prefer social networking over face to face communication.People also develop anxiety while talking in public due to AI.I strongly believe that face to face communication have been damaged beyond repair. While social media platforms have their pros and cons, they have made our daily/humanly conversations less frequent.
Firstly, internet communities are so efficient nowadays that in a few clicks, people can initiate conversations all over the world.Due to technology being so easy ,people choose it over real life conversations. In this era texting and phone calls are sky rocketing ,as millions of individuals utilize it everyday. The population has lost touch of face to face conversations, making individuals develop social anxiety, fear of talking in public and etc…
Secondly, the population starts losing practice of speaking confidently in person or lose public speaking skills. When we use social networking, we do not practice eye contact, body language, voice tone, and speaking in front of a crowd. Because these practices become very rare we may find it hard to speak in person.
Finally, face to face conversations create a sense of unity and understanding between the two people as the body language shown during real life conversations helps the other person to identify ideas and emotions better. In schools and offices, employees are using social media apps like whatsapp and gmail leading to less coordination in collaborative activites.
In conclusion, social networking is platform of unlimited knowledge and endless possibilities but it has damaged face to face conversations by replacing human contact with digital devices.
