The issue of whether families should be exempted for taxes which support the state education system has long been an ongoing argument. While some people hold the view that people who send their offspring to private school should not have to pay taxes for state education, I firmly disagree with this statement.
For a variety of reasons, every city-dweller should have the same obligation to pay taxes for the national education system. Firstly, as eligible citizens ,it is their duty to pay taxes for helping the development of the education of the nation. If these families can afford prohibitively expensive study fees for their offspring at private school, the educational taxes may be a tiny problem.For example, even though many people have to pay taxes for state-owned medical services , they still turn to pay for costly private health care services.
On the other hand, it would be an unequal world if every citizen had to pay different amounts of taxes. If the affluent families do not pay for educational support taxes, the poorer families will have to spend extra money for this. Secondly, children are the future of the country and it is their right to go to school. Thus, it is every residents’ duty to pay taxes to assist families who can not afford study fee for their children.
In the final analysis, I believe that every citizen, including wealthy ones who send their children to private school, has to pay taxes for the state education system in order to build a balanced world where everyone has the same duty and people who are destitute can be assisted by others.
