Some countries are relying on the utilization of non-renewable energy resources in the current era of rapid transmissions. Whereas, many other nations have shifted towards renewable power for the sake of greener Earth. In my subjective viewpoint, this trend is highly beneficial for humans and our planet.
To begin with, alternative sources like solar and wind power play a crucial role in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the mitigation of global warming. They provide a sustainable and clean source of energy, reducing excessive use of fossil fuels. Meanwhile, fuel-based vehicles release an immense amount of harmful pollutants, such as carbon monoxide, which could exert a profoundly harmful influence on human health conditions, leading to several respiratory issues or allergies. For example, the advances in green public transportations have significantly improved the poor outdoor quality and polluted environments in the USA.
Moreover, renewable power technologies contribute to the diversification of energy sources, enhancing energy security and resilience. In some countries like Germany, where the scarcity of gasoline has had an adverse impact on the ordinary citizens as there is insufficient energy during the winter. Therefore, several nuclear power plants have been installed as an alternative to provide a clean and stable energy resource for the general public, thus addressing the shortage of fossil fuels and helping those who are in need of heating fuel. If such practice had not been taken into action effectively by the government system, this could inevitably lead to many catastrophic consequences for both the state leaders and the innocent inhabitants.
In conclusion, I tend to gravitate towards the idea that this development is admittedly favourable, thanks to the ability of alternative resources in the curtailment of global warming and the promotion of energy self-reliance.
