In today’s global world, fossil fuels, namely coal, oil and natural gas have been main source of energy for a long time. However, more and more nations are now turning to alternative energy sources, including solar and wind power. In my opinion, this is a fully positive development.
One reason for this is that renewable energy is much better for the environment. Unlike fossil fuels, solar and wind power do not produce large amounts of harmful emissions that contribute to air pollution and climate change. As environmental issues become more serious, finding cleaner sources of energy is becoming significantly important.
Another advantage is that renewable energy is sustainable. Fossil fuels are limited resources and will eventually run out, whereas sunlight and wind are naturally available and can be used for many years. Despite of the expensive cost of solar panels and wind farms, the long-term benefits outweigh these issues.
In conclusion, the growing use of renewable energy is a beneficial development because it helps protect the environment and provides a more reliable source of energy for the future.
