Many people believe that they must use their leisure time for productive activities, while others argue the opposite. I agree with the first statement and I will further explain from both perspectives. Firstly, leisure time is the perfect moment to rest after a very hard day, especially for people who work. Secondly, the rest of them tend to use leisure time to do their hobbies, such as reading and exercise, because they cannot do those activities on weekdays.
Nowadays, in this hustling bustling era, some people tend to get a lot of tight deadlines at work and find that free time is the best time to rest, so they can relax their mind. Many working people also use weekends as their leisure time, which they can stay at home during the day. Human brains tend to decrease their capabilities to collect memories, if they use it very toughly. It also aligned with some research that suggested people do anything on weekends to improve workers’ brain quality. For example, many offices are suggesting their workers have a holiday by giving them money compensation for holiday leave.
However, others believe that leisure time, especially on weekends, is the perfect time for doing hobbies because they cannot do that on weekdays. Some of them use it for improving their mind, such as reading, however the others tend to pressure their physical abilities, such as hiking, cycling and exercising. For example, workers who are focusing on gaining another skill are using weekends to improve their capabilities, similar to the workers who are playing soccer on weekends, both of them feel fresh after doing it.
In conclusion, although some people are likely to use their leisure time to relax, others find that doing hobbies on the weekends are refreshing. I firmly believe that it depends on how people recharge their energies.
