Earlier, when learners did a higher education qualification, they used to learn in their home country. These days, students have more possibilities to study abroad. In my opinion, learning abroad can help students get a better education. However, I also believe that sometimes learning away from home is hard because you have to face with problems only by yourself.
On the one hand, many people believe that getting degree in a foreign country has many benefits. The most significant is that people can get a better education, and sometimes there may be a wider choice of faculties. For example, it is no longer necessary for students from poor countries to study locally, they can now access opportunities for a brighter future. Therefore, becoming more mature and gaining experience is another advantage. For example, students must cope with challenges such as providing for themselves and living entirely alone in an unfamiliar country.
On the other hand, there are also some disadvantages. The most important one is that talented students are more likely to leave their hometowns, which results in a lack of people who will work there in the future. For instance, learners from Moldova are usually leaving county for better degrees, which causes universities to become empty. A second disadvantage is communication, as differences in mentality can cause misunderstandings. For example, moving abroad means living in unfamiliar surroundings and facing language barriers that prevent clear communication.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that getting degree abroad has more advantages because it can offer more benefits than drawbacks.
