The government is currently concerned about the decline of discipline and respect in schools, as it has been increasingly replaced by instances of harassment and violence directed at teachers. In response, the government has initiated an opinion survey to explore potential solutions to this alarming situation, which includes the options of arranging special training sessions for school teachers or introducing a new curriculum with yoga and meditation classes.
In my opinion, the implementation of a new curriculum featuring yoga and meditation classes represents a superior option. While the proposition of providing special training for school teachers does offer significant benefits, the advantages of introducing a new curriculum far outweigh those of the former.
At the forefront of this issue is the need to address the decline of discipline and respect, which has been overshadowed by student misconduct towards teachers. It is paramount to offer activities aimed at fostering mental well-being. For instance, the inclusion of yoga and meditation in the curriculum can assist both students and teachers in achieving a state of tranquility and relaxation. These classes can serve as a therapeutic means to promote mutual understanding and respect between students and teachers.
Moreover, a study conducted by a UK-based Ph.D. psychologist in 2019 revealed that schools integrating yoga and meditation classes reported a significant improvement in academic performance, with a 90% increase in achievement levels, while also displaying more respectful and disciplined behavior compared to schools that did not offer such activities. Therefore, it is evident that incorporating these practices would be highly advantageous for all individuals within the school environment.
In light of these points, I firmly believe that embracing innovative approaches, such as the introduction of a new curriculum with yoga and meditation classes, would contribute to the restoration of discipline and respect among students. It is important to note that while these recommendations reflect my personal views, I am committed to supporting any decision that is made.
