In recent times, there is an ongoing debate on whether the government should concentrate the expense on public services instead of arts, such as music and paintings. While public services like healthcare, education, and infrastructure are also crucial for the well being for the society. I, however, partially agree with the statement. In this essay, I will explain why I believe both services deserve attention, though public services may require more immediate investments.
On the one hand, public services are fundamental for a functioning society. Healthcare, education, and transportation are essential for a country to develop. By developing more hospitals infrastructure and investing more money on medical equipments, government officials can make a nation healthier and more risk free. Similarly, transportation might be another problem for some countries, such as developing and underdeveloped countries compared to developed nations. Constructing railways might be more beneficial for some states than spend money on arts and music.
On the other hand, arts help us to explore ourselves to the different culture and exchange our ideas. Listening to music from other countries can help us to know about their culture, which is very essential for this modern era. For example, Asians nowadays watch an enormous number of foreign movies and listen to music in other languages, which help them to know about other cultures. Through art we can exchange our ideas with the world, which provides a chance to know about our culture to the foreign nations.
In conclusion, I partially agree that government authorities should invest money to the public services so that healthcare and transportation can be improved. However, the arts should not be neglected entirely, as they offer significant benefits of express ourselves and our ideas. So, I think officials have to allocate expenditure in these two sectors in a balanced way.
