What we are now is a boon to science and technology. The government’s encouragement and unrestrictions on scientific research have led to this development, enabling us to live comfortably. Therefore, the government should support and encourage innovation in science and its advancements; however, some individuals have imposed restrictions on this progress.
Let’s examine scientific advancements in the medical field. This field’s development in clinical settings, including disease diagnosis and treatment, has resulted in the saving of numerous lives. For instance, prior to the introduction of chemotherapy in the 1940s, doctors could only diagnose cancer and not initiate treatment, which resulted in the deaths of several people in the short time period of diagnosis. Today, receiving chemotherapy after a cancer diagnosis not only extends the patient’s life but also enables some to lead normal lives. This is possible because of the unrestricted nature of scientific research and the faith in the scientific community.
Moreover, scientific research in astronomy has made significant strides. Because of their success, people are now able to travel to other planets and study their conditions. By studying planets and their environments, scientists can predict Earth events and alert us. We have the opportunity to witness the Meteor Falls or Comet Falls in their natural habitat. This invention will not result from restrictions on scientific research and development. This achievement not only thrilled the person who did it, but also made people like us happy and interested in it.
Only the government’s encouragement and support, along with the faith and belief in scientists and researchers, make innovation and development possible. Certain developments, like missionary weapons, should be restricted, but it depends on their intended use. For instance, explosion bombs can simplify tasks for miners, but when deployed in combat, they can cause significant damage. Therefore, the effectiveness of these weapons relies entirely on the perspective of the individuals using them.
