It will be better for society if the government spends money in order to prevent physical elements in society instead of spending funds on space research. I accord with this notion to some extent because space research and better physical health standard both are vital. To initiate with there are multifarious reasons why I opine that spending funds on space research is important. The predominant reason is that it assists people to enhance their knowledge about the galaxy. For further explanation, nowadays many countries utilize funds on space research. It not only helps them to explore about space, but they can also get knowledge about how to survive on another planet because nowadays natural resources like water and fossil fuels are becoming extinct without these things people cannot survive on the earth. So, it is beneficial for them to spend funds on space research. Moreover, it has significant economic benefits. To elaborate, space research not only provides job opportunities but it also helps to grow the economy of the nation. For example, in the last year the US spent 117 billion dollars on space explorations. While, this year this proportion was reached 135 billion dollars.
Despite these reasons there are some other causes why many individuals believe that the government should spend funds on research into the improvement of physical health instead of spending money on space research. The first and foremost cause is that in this modern society physical ailments are escalating day by day between individuals. To explicate it, there are a lot of people who survive below the poverty line and they cannot afford medical amenities, the government should invest funds in medical treatment, so that individuals can stay away from dangerous diseases like cancer and they can also improve their physical standards. Additionally, there are many hospitals who require better medical equipment and doctors due to the lack of research they cannot provide better treatment to patients. To cite an example, recently the government of Switzerland has announced they will improve and renovate medical facilities for their citizens by spending 46 billion euros.
