Band 5+: Governments in many countries have recently introduced special taxes on foods and beverages with high levels of sugar. Some think these taxes are a good idea while others disagree. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

There are different opinions about special taxes are introduced for foods and alcohol drinks with high levels of sugar by many governments. While some people think that it is best idea for decreasing obese, I believe that paying taxes for foods is very difficult for population.

There are several reasons why many people support the idea that if foods and beverages have high levels of sugar, many organizations should organize many taxes. Firstly, all taxes are very benefits for increasing GDP of particular country and thereby nowadays, many countries have plenty of taxes for products. These taxes are accomplished by different companies and population. Secondly, high level of sugar products, many foods and beverages, negatively effects people’s health. If people consume sugar every single day, they encounter some bad situations, such as obesity and other factors. Therefore, taxes are always high for sugary products. For example, in some developing countries that there are expensive taxes for sugary goods, hence, many people cannot pay these taxes.

On the other hand, I think that today’s world, many people are suffering from high taxes, because almost all products have taxes. By this, many population of countries appear bad idea about opposition of county’s laws or high taxes of goods are never bought by them. This phenomenon negatively effects economy of countries. Besides that, many government introduce special taxes and these taxes have normal for paying. Because of according to many people, all companies and countries came across bad situation in 2008 due to halting of taxes for some products and alcohol drinks. Sometimes sugary products and beverages are important for increasing energy and supporting immunity of humans, hence, they should have normal level of taxes. To illustrate, in developed countries that many taxes owning sugary products fluctuate every year for demanding of population.

In conclusion, although some people argue that taxes are introduced for some benefits, I think that plenty of taxes are challenging for population.
