The relocation of businesses from urban area to the country side is a growing trend, asked by the governments. Although this trend brings some drawbacks, I am convinced that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
On the one hand, a negative side associated with rural areas may be the lack of suitable basic infrastructures, making conditions hard for workers. Indeed, businesses locating in the country sides have limited access to robust infrastructures effortlessly found in urban centers, such as reliable transportation, fast internet, and advanced utilities. Take a company located in a place without public transportation for example; in this situation, individuals have to use their own cars every day to reach their destinations, which is costly and exhausting. Consequently, it affects employees’ satisfaction and ultimately leads them to leave their jobs.
As well as a negative, this approach brings more advantages. The first benefit is concerned with providing job opportunities for talented individuals in the villages. In the other words, the influx of new businesses can provide rural dwellers with more opportunities to find lucrative jobs close to their homes. Cost-saving, moreover, is another advantage of this trend. Indeed, operating a new commerce in a country side requires lower costs related to the office space, utilities, and taxes. As a result, people can run their businesses with a more reasonable price.
To conclusion, however the rural areas do not have appropriate infrastructure, I am convinced that establishment of new industries in rural regions brings more benefits, such as providing job opportunities for locals and saving a considerable budget for employers.
