The majority of workers in a firm can instill and maintain synergy and cooperation between employees by having a unified wage irrespective of job role. In this essay, I will discuss why I partially disagree with the statement above.
On the one hand, being paid the same amount is stimulating the cooperation among employees and ensure their commitment towards successes. For instance, one of the contracting companies in our college have almost 100 workers who get the same monthly salary, their level of dedication and teamwork is exceptional. Furthermore, the feeling of equality for individuals incentivize their collaboration. Therefore, this leads to cost-efficiency, improved processes and much effective workforce that prosper and reduce crucial savings.
On the other hand, some employees will exploit the chance that the salary is fixed no matter what they do. This is going to negatively affect the overall performance of the team and reduce their efficiency and effectiveness. However, with the ongoing monitoring and observation employers can leverage the entire human resources to achieve the organization’s objectives. In addition, such decisions of having fixed salaries will limit the employees’ potential and eliminate innovation and productivity. Because of that, proper monitoring, rewards, and continuous communication and improvement is a key to maintain employees’ efficiency and effectiveness.
In conclusion, individuals getting paid the same amount equally ensures the majority’s collaboration and inputs. However, minority of employees will resist to such decisions and stay idle since they know the wage is constant no matter what commitment and dedication they provide.
