Band 7+: Improvements in health, education and trade are essential for the development of poorer nations. However, the governments of richer nations should take more responsibility for helping the poorer nations in such areas. To what extent do you agree?

In spite of their importance, developing countries still struggle with improving their health, education, and trade sectors. Some argue that developed countries should provide more assistance to the poorer nations in order to help them overcome these challenges. I completely agree that this is the best way to tackle the issue.

Firstly, improving the health, education, and trade sectors in underdeveloped nations is a challenging task that demands extensive research and expert assistance. Developed countries, with their advanced knowledge in these areas, can help by providing assistance to the locals to gain more knowledge. For example, many human resources in developing countries lack education and capabilities that could be beneficial for their country’s development. Those are the reasons why developed countries could be more proactive in assisting in research for advanced development and increasing the abilities of the people in developing countries.

Secondly, appropriate funding needs to be provided for developing countries to improve their health, education, and trade sectors. Many advanced technologies and facilities could not be afforded by the poorer nations due to their tight budget and the need to prioritize the sectors that have a bigger impact on the economy. For instance, developed countries have already used modern and proven technology that could be more effective in curing several diseases. In contrast, people in poorer nations still believe in conventional medications that do not use appropriate tools and have not been tested for their effectiveness.

To conclude, I strongly believe that support for developed nations for underdeveloped countries can be an effective way to accelerate the improvement of their essential sectors of health, education, and trade.
