It is widely believed that nobody will buy printed magazines or books in the future. The reason for this is that thanks to new technologies, like smartphones or tablets, we can read everything we want. In my opinion, I believe that this may come true.
On the one hand, in my view, people who read printed newspapers or books receive a better reading experience from the paper compared to the online version. Therefore, people might be more involved in reading a book. For example, I felt better when I read a printed book, while I did not feel the same emotions when I read an online book.
On the other hand, the online version is easier to use during the day. In addition, the online book can be read with an electronic device, like a tablet, smartphone, or Kindle. Thanks to this device, we can read multiple books on a single device, which makes it very easy to bring the books, for example, to the beach. Therefore, a lot of people prefer the simplicity of the online book. For example, during my vacation in Sardinia, I saw a lot of people who, on the beach, decided to read a book from their smartphone or tablet, while the number of people with a printed book decreased from the first time that I remember.
In conclusion, I partially agree with this statement. The reason for this is that, as I said before, more people decided to bring multiple books with a single device compared to a real book. However, with the electronic device, we lose the reading experience that the paper can give to the reader.
