Nowadays in many parts of the world crime rates commited by teenagers are higher than adults’ crimes. There are several reasons for this statement and several ways to address this issue.
Firstly, the problem that many countries are going through is unemployment, which as a typical problem has it’s own consequences, for example, unemployment makes some people to go through crime to provide themselves or their families with food and place to sleep, especially in case when the eldest child without parents and has obligation to protect younger siblings. Secondly, lack of parental control, today many parents’ mistakes is not knowing what is happening in child’s life, with what kind of people is their child friends, how his circle of friends is influence him or her, in some cases when parents do not show their care about child it may lead to problems that impossible to solve without judgement.
On the other hand, it should not be forgotten the we still have an opportunity to solve this problem. As it was already mentioned, one of the first reasons of teenagers’ crime is an unemployment, governments can create a new jobs for teenagers to give them opportunity to get money without involving crime. Second solution is also can be done by government, it is possible to encourage people to control their children, if for child’s mistakes parents were punished, parents would better look after their children.
To conclude, the main reasons of increasing crime rates among teenagers is unemployment and lack of parental control, and this problem can be solved if governments encouraged people to control their children and create new jobs for minors.
