In many nations, family members devote their less time talking with one another than in the past. I believe that it is mainly due to the accessibility of a technology. To solve this issue, families should sit together while eating lunch or dinner without smartphones, and social media apps should be deleted from their mobile phones.
One primary reason of spending less time communicating with families is that they have access to a technology. This is because in the past, people didn’t have access to smartphones that is why they used to spend most time with their families; however, now situation has changed a lot so people tend to spend their leisure time using smartphones. For example, in Pakistan, many individuals often busy with their phones when they visit a restaurant with their families but they don’t bother to talk to their families; however, in the past, people often talked each other on different topics on such occasions because they didn’t have smartphones to keep them busy.
To resolve this problem, families should eat lunch or dinner together without smartphones. Because when families make a rule to sit together on a specific time for lunch or dinner, they will talk to each other very much if they are not allowed to bring their smartphones on dinning. In this way, they will communicate more with their families because they will have no other option to spend their time. In addition to this, family members should delete social media apps. This is because these apps, such as the Facebook, the Instagram, and the Twitter, are so addictive that people mainly spend their time using them. If these apps delete from their mobile phones, their screentime will eventually reduce to such an extend that they will use mobile only for few hours, and in this way, they will have so much time to talk with their families.
In conclusion, accessibility of smartphones is the main reason of spending less time talking with each other. To overcome this problem, families should be asked to sit together for lunch or dinner with no smartphones, and they ought to delete social media apps.
