Band 6+: In many countries it is now illegalto advertise alcohol. Do you agree or disadree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In various nations, advertising products which contain alcohol is not legal. This essay agrees with this statement because drinking alcoholic beverages can lead to serious health issues and advertisers may accidentally influence children to start drinking alcohol.

Initially, it should be banned because alcohol is harmful to a person’s health. Drinking too much causes several conditions, including liver cancer; diabetes, and brain damage. For instance, Russia had a huge problem with alcoholism in the past and many men were dying from alcohol-related diseases. Then, they decided to stop promoting alcoholic beverages such as wine, beer, or vodka on TV. It resulted in a huge reduction in such serious cases.

Additionally, kid’s minds are so open. They are always looking for adult profile that they can copy in their life. Seeing cool people who drink alcohol in a commercial affects them so deeply. If this commercial does not give enough information about alcohol like drinking alcohol may have a negative impact on your life, it will create a big problem. For example, a thirteen-year-old teenager may emulate an advertisement he sees on television. If he tries it, a permanent addiction may occur in his body because he has a young unprotected brain. After that point, It would be so late.

In conclusion, the promotion of alcohol-containing products should be against the law. We are aware that alcoholic drinks cause many health problems. Also, we are responsible for protecting our children’s future by explaining to them the alcohol’s effects but advertisement makes this situation harder.
