With the increasing number of shopping centers, it has become increasingly common for young people to spend their leisure time particularly in urban areas instead of participating in sport and music activities. Although, they spend quality time and make sound purchases in shopping centers, engaging in sport and music activities are more essential for their mental and physical well-being.
From a practical perspective, shopping malls are an effective place to spend quality time and to navigate with surroundings. If young people visit shopping centers in their free time, they communicate with strangers and make purchases independently, thereby fostering communication and interpersonal skills. This is particularly beneficial for young people who are raising in urban areas, as they are more likely to live in isolated and hectic lifestyle. As a result, they enhance problem-solving and flexibility skills, which helps them to make sound decisions when they encounter unexpected situations and misunderstandings. Without such real-life experiences, young people struggle to integrate into local community and start something new independently.
However, participating in social and traditional activities including sports and music festivals are more beneficial. When young people are included in traditional activities, they can make friends with new people and avoid from exposure to mental diseases such as depression, stress and anxiety, thus forging meaningful relationships and prevent possible health problems. This can ultimately lead to maintain a healthy lifestyle, expand their social circles and avoid from sentimental difficulties. Consequently, young people can achieve their professional and personal goals easily and lay a strong foundation for more successful future. In a world where, young people grapple with emotional difficulties and pragmatic challenges, encouraging them to be active in traditional and social activities is more important than ever before.
To conclude, while shopping centers offers regarded good place to be familiar with new surroundings and spend quality time, I still believe that by staying active in sport and music activities, young people achieve long-term benefits, including emotional and social well-being.
