In many nations, high-tech infrastructures are changing the appearance of towns and cities. It is believed that new buildings should be built in a national way so that they can protect their cultural identity. I completely agree with this opinion, since if the new infrastructures are constructed in a traditional style, it can stop the countries from losing their sense of identity.
To most extent, as unique, traditional architecture plays a big role to attract tourists, buildings have their impact for the country itself for any ways. In all nations, buildings give information about the history, culture, traditions and nationality of the country itself. Moreover, just a quick glance at the infrastructures of the cities or towns by the people from the foreign country can broaden their perspective on that nation. So, government should construct buildings, especially theirs outer side, in a traditional style so as to attract more tourists. However, if the new buildings do not provide any information about the country and build in a modern way, it may make cities look similar to each other and become less appealing to visitors. It can also affect the countries’ economy. Take an example of the building ‘new Uzbekistan’ Park, it was located in Tashkent. ‘new Uzbekistan’ Park is one of the largest and most extensive cultural and recreational parks in Uzbekistan. And it is a newly-building park and a popular touristic place, as it was build in a traditional way. Exactly, the independence monument is located in the central part of the park. The independence monument is the sign of autonomy and well-being for Uzbek nation. This is the reason why it was one of the touristic place.
Secondly, the new building can erase and prevent cultural continuity, which creates a strong connection between past and present. If people lose their sense of identity, they will lose and cannot protect their motherland, too. Because, most modern buildings copy western styles, which can erase local identity. To prevent this change, not only government, but also should people themselves try to keep their buildings’ style not to lose their identity. Infrastructures give information about the lifestyle of people in specific city and they can learn how their nationality was evolved. As children age, they can learn their history by just looking at their environment, and it will create a sense of pride and belonging for future generations. As it said, every single infrastructures have their impact to grow country.
In conclusion, although modern buildings offer new facilities like good lifestyles for people, traditional and cultural buildings have their own role for the country.
