Nowadays, a lot of aged individuals such as grandparents are not looked after by their own children. However, 21st century developments are increasingly better for elderly people ,as care homes or nursing homes take care of people who need support with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. So, in my opinion , it’s a better plan than them being taken care of by their families.
The main advantages of being put in care homes are being taken care of by professional experts and being in hopeful places. For families who cannot give attention at all, Because they are working so many hours these care homes or nursing homes will be helpful. Also, there will be all kinds of knowledgeable technical tools or specialized machines and doctors who understand retired people’s chronic illnesses, insomnia, or hypochondria , where you think you are ill all the time, and this kind of illness often happens to aged people. For instance, in Mongolian statistics, life expectancies are lower than in dissimilar countries, and that means our elders live shorter lives than us. So, the result is that there aren’t any kinds of care or nurse homes, and Mongolia’s aging population becomes lower and lower.
Despite these advantages, we are the result of Mother Nature’s children always must take care of and love their relations, especially their family. And these sorts of things might be unsatisfactory for them impacting to their mental health and emotional well-being. Moreover, abroad , they always face cost problems, and these facilities are often exorbitant. During the COVID-19 pandemic, nursing homes reported that they were hit hard, with nearly 170,000 resident deaths reported.
In conclusion, being taken care of by nursing homes is sometimes fine for both those who go there and those who send them there, because they will be the same age as grandparents, and they will talk about the same topics. However, there should also be cons , as if they will be in 24/7 professional care.
