In several countries, people are depending on the Internet for data, shopping, and communication instead of direct talk. Although relying on the internet saves time and power, the negative impacts on social skills and well-being are far greater than the benefits.
First of all, the more people communicate through screens, the less time they spend together in real life. For some people online-communication makes an illusion of connection, but does not give a real sense of emotional warmth. It often leads to psychological diseases like feeling of loneliness, mental health issues, anxiety and even depression. Nevertheless, constantly sitting in front of gadget screens can negatively affect not only a person’s psyche, but also their physical abilities and appearance such problems with posture, vision and weight gain arise. To solve this problem, people have to do a lot face-to-face communications, meet frequently and spend time being together which can help to stay not only positive during a whole day, but also stay in shape. A lot of issues can be connected with psychology and people should interact with each other gradually weaning ourselves off gadget screens.
Secondly, in person, you need to be able to read body language, intonation, and react quickly, but in a chat, you can think before you write something and you can even delete and edit the message. A young generation stops perceiving live content, starts feeling fear in front of personal meeting and cannot solve conflicts. To overcome stage fright, a person must perform and collaborate with the audience.
To sum up, although online services save time and effort, this benefit places in comparison to the long-term drawbacks of diminished face-to-face communication.
