It is believed that art is invested a huge amount of money by several nations. Although there are some people thinking that support for art is essential, others also say spending money on enhancing health and education is better. This essay would discuss the two perspectives as well as give my opinion for the former one.
On the one hand, it can be undeniable that budget can be better to invest in medical and educational fields. To begin with, spending money on health and education can bring long-term advantages to the economy. This is because investing in education means contributing to long-term economic growth by creating more skilled labors. Besides, if health can be supported significantly, this probably helps decrease future costs like medicine or healthcare service fees by preventing diseases and promoting healthier lifestyles, which possibly supports a more productive workforce. With a skilled and effective workforce, the economy will increasingly develop and stabilize. Therefore, it is true that money should be spent on improving health and education with a variety of benefits.
On the other hand, others and I believe that spending money on art is important. Firstly, investment in art contributes to enhance mental health. It can be true that this investment means building a large variety of museums and exhibitions, which can provide quieter spaces for each individual between noisy and hectic cities to relieve pressure and stress from their work or the noise of cities. As a result, a sense of stress and depression can be limited, and people’s mental health can be improved significantly. In addition, investment in art can contribute to not only mental health but also education. In fact, each painting and drawing contains meaningful and invaluable lessons about real life. Thus, if people have a chance to be exposed to pictures, they probably have insight into the world and life with a range from different aspects as well as construct multidimensional thinking. Hence, it is said that art can bring highly educational parts to people.
In conclusion, it is true that money is better spent on health and education. However, personally, I think support for art can also be necessary.
