In many countries, the percentage of young people who are not in education, employment or training in NEET has risen significantly. The main causes of this trend are financial issues and refrence based jobs. It can reduce by reducing curroption in jobs, give cost effective education and appriciating hard work.
In most countries, higher education is very costly except some countries like Germony. In Asia, parents usually have to pay for higher education of students. They do not have much resources to spend on their education particularlly in developing countries such as Pakistan. Parents have usually more than two children so it becomes difficult for them to manage study of all their children by a little income. Despite it, if some young people are able to get education, they suffer a lot to get a good job. Because most jobs are refrence based and they have no any strong refrence. At that moment, they find themselves at very vulnarable stage. Their parents invest a great money on their education and in reward they get nothing. It influences next individuals not to get education, instead of it start a business by this money at a very young age or learn some skill rather than education. In addition, if some students are able to get a job, salary of these jobs are not enough to meet their ends. So, they prefer to start a small business. Besides, there is a serious competition in NEET or CSS test. Few students are able to secure position in their respective institute by these tests. Remaining students feel regret to spend money and time on these training session.
Now turning towards its solution. Governments should make education less expensive and start program of scholarships for those students who are hard work. For instance in Germony, education is mostly free. Young people prefer to go there and get education. Governments should take a look on curroption in jobs. They should assign jobs on merit based. There should be a way to companstate hard work of those students who left behind just for 2 or 3 percentage of aggregate in NEET or CSS exams.
In conclusion, the reducing percentage of youth in education, employment and training is increased notably due to costly education, refrence based jobs and low salaries. This can reduce by making free education or scholarships for deserving students and encourging hard working students by offering merit based jobs.
