Nowadays, the genre of entertainment is changing; people are taking more interest in crime books and TV shows. I believe this type of story holds suspenseful narratives and has action scenes which make them popular. I believe crime stories can influence people to commit a crime.

The content delivered by crime books and TV shows attracts consumers. This is because crime stories have suspenseful narratives and fighting scenes which make the stories interesting and force viewers to complete their full stories. For example, the Indian web series Kalin Bhaiya has 6 seasons which contain fighting scenes and intense suspense from the beginning. Viewers watch each season one by one and expect an ending. However, they complete their story in the 6th season. This TV show became the most watched series on Amazon Prime. Hence, the content of crime books and TV shows makes this genre most popular.

The main problem with crime stories is that people are influenced by them and commit crimes. Since many books and TV series glamorize criminal activities, viewers are influence by them and start to act like one. For example, after watching the Kalin Bhaiya series, many people started to carry weapons similarly seen in the series. They started to spread fear among the local public. This action was inspired by the web series they watched. This explains that crime stories and series can promote crimes which negatively affect society.

To conclude, although crime books and visual content are interesting and people love to watch, this content produces a negative influence which is harmful to society.
