In recent years, fast food chains often rise globally, and people prefer to consume this product more than traditional foods. This issue has a negative effect on families, individuals, and society. I completely agree this statement because this situation led to two important problems such as health problem and losing cultural identity.
Nowadays, west eating trends has gained popularity around the world, which can lead to health problems among the individuals. This issue may result in two major problems, such as changing eating habits and increasing various disease. In the past, most people often followed their traditional eating habits; however, they usually prefer to consume fast foods like hamburger and pizza which may contain unhealthy ingredients. Furthermore, these dishes often contribute to rise people’s weight and blood pressure; as a result, most people cope with heart disease and diabetes. For example, there has been a significant rise in the number of the people of the weight-related disorders in the world. Medical professionals consistently deal with these diseases at the hospital; however, most people do not recover rapidly.
Rising the number of fast-food restaurants can lead to a lack of awareness for traditional cuisines. This situation can bring about two significant problems such as eating traditional meals and not conveying cultural heritage. People in society do not eat their traditional food due to trending street food. Moreover, cultural values are not passed on from generation to generation owing to widespread fast food. Countries do not reflect their heritage about their own meals and therefore younger generations do not have cultural knowledge. For instance, in Japan, even though there are numerous unique traditional dishes restaurants, west-style fast food chains have become common recently.
In conclusion, although many societies have unique traditional foods, fast food has become widespread. This trend can effect on society adversely and I completely agree this statement. This is because, This popularity can contribute to two important problems such as the loss of cultural values and rising weight-related diseases.
