Nowadays, millions of women do not want to get married,because for them there is no need to do it. People believe the main reason is financial independence. This fact seems to me the most logical reason why percentage of marriage is getting low.

Society has built the stereotype which shows females as a weak creature by making males look more stronger. Past years most women at age of 15-20 were dreaming about having a husband,because they couldn’t do anything without males. Most women got married being in love while others just for money. In that time marriage was the trusted way to be financially stable. But now everything had changed.

Today in most countries women’s rights are the same as men’s. So, now girls are able to get an education at university and earn own income. For this reason they don’t have to be someone’s wife to afford better life. Women should be married only when they are in love with someone and if it makes them happier. All other situations do not make anyone’s life easier.

In conclusion, there is no need to built a family for providing financial security. That’s why most people do not want to be married and prefer living for their own without any responsibilities.
