People argue that women are more independent in the present day with their lives and because of this, some women do not want to go to a marriage, as they secure jobs where they can manage their financial situations with their own money. I partially agree with this argument because women could live a happy life by being independent and earning their own money by not getting married and also money is not only the reason that women get married to someone special to them.
Firstly, in the current day, women fight for their independence and some women refuse to get married as they think it will ruin their freedom. Therefore, most of the women in the world find work to do not like past days. For example, if a girl has a senior position in a company and gets married to a person, and this person asks this girl to resign from her job as she does not need to earn money because he is rich. She will lose her freedom and will not be able to do whatever she wants to do and have to ask for money from her husband for everything. This leads to asking for financial security and being relied on by her husband and the girl’s independence is ruined. So, some women try not to get married and live as a single person.
On the other hand, money or financial security is not the only reason that some women and men choose matrimony over being single. There is love, make a family and bring children into their world and live their lives by sharing everything. Marriage does not fulfil the monetary needs of a woman, it also provides happiness, protection, companionship and support to a woman as well as to a man. Therefore, women who think only about financial security should not be thinking only about that before getting married, because there are several other reasons which above discussed need to be considered too.
In conclusion, I partially agree with this topic because women may have to rely on men after getting married for financial security and therefore, women lose their freedom over getting married. However, money is not the only point and there are many other needs of a woman if they choose to spend their whole life together with another person.
