Nowadays, young adults desire to start their own independent life and leave their parents’ home and share an apartment once they finish their school. In many cases, most of the them live on their own or share a house with their friends, As far as I am concerned, I believe this is a negative trend among young adults because there are many things that can go wrong easily without parents’ help.
On the one hand, when young people leave their parental home, they tend to leave on their own or share house or an apartment with their friends and pay the rent together for living, buy groceries by splitting the bill.
The positive side of this trend is that once they start living on their own, young adults become independent because they have to ear money to pay the rent, to buy food, clothes and other things they need. That is why they work day and night, try and fail and learn from their mistake to grow up more and vow not to make the same mistake again during their independent life. For example, many teenagers after school leave their parental home and find a place to stay for rent as a tenant to a landlord. During that period of time, they find a job for themselves often in restaurants or other jobs to pay the rent and to be able to buy the basic needs of life. From that they learn to be more aware of their life and surroundings to be not homeless guy.
On the other hand, not all of the teenagers will be lucky to find a rent house or even they find, the price of rent will be expensive. During that time many problematic things occur such as getting into drugs, losing self control, becoming homeless or even get into jail because of the crime they committed. For instance, there are many cases of the people who started to live on their own got into drugs and committed crimes like vandalism, burglary or shop lifting, those cases found serious by judges and got sentenced for many years in prison. Many of them become homeless because they did not have work to pay the rent and they got kicked out.
To sum up, in my opinion when young adults leave household of their parents, most of them lose control and become homeless and commit a crime and go jail. However when they live their parents they will be under the control of their parents and grow up to be wise. That is why I believe this is a negative development among young adults.
