Over the past few decades, there has been a sharp rise in overeating, famine, and harmful habits. There seem to be three main causes and a number of solutions, which we will discuss in this essay.
Among the most important reasons for this matter, the first one might be the availability of convenience foods. During the last decades, a breakthrough has been made in farming, which is an integral part of human life, and ‘precision-farming’ is now a reality. Furthermore, turning longevity into a sweet dream could make people careless about maintaining a healthy diet. Without a variety of crucial elements, along with vital vitamins, our bodies could be severely damaged. Thirdly, one of the most problematic phenomena in recent centuries is the media. Unthoughtful advertisements, shows, and conversations could be a double-edged sword and have negative aspects in society.
According to possible solutions, perhaps the most effective and immediate solution might be government intervention. The law is what makes cities and communities livable in the first place, so we might need to refer to it once again. A second remedy could be self-improvement and healthy routines. It might seem a bit superficial, but looking to our ancestors and heritage as the paramount species on Earth, it is absolutely achievable if we desire it. Finally, a cause could be a response at the same time. A strong desire from society and the government at the same time can be effective, and regarding the huge impact of the media on people’s lives, it could lead to significant development in interpersonal skills.
In conclusion, it seems to me that the primary roots of unhealthy routines might be referred to as fast foods, lower longevity, and the media. However, the key solutions would be referring to the law, maintaining healthy routines, and the media itself.
