Although many people think that the latest technology and equipment are obligatory for learning a new sport due to the features it provides, I agree with those who think they are not needed, considering that it is the sheer will and manual efforts of an individual that are crucial to kick start a new sport.
On one hand, many people believe that by enrolling into online programs, along with the use of sports equipment available in the market, one can quickly master a new activity. The usage of these online apps and machines help them keep track of their progress in a systematic way, and achieve their goals in the shortest team possible. For instance, while a woman in her 20s made headlines by learning how to play chess just by using an online portal, many people supported the use of technology and newer equipment immensely.
On the other hand, for people who believe that for learning any new sport, it is the physical efforts and motivation of an individual that matters, even if he/she does not have access to newer technology or equipment. Since not everyone can afford the newer methods of learning, the individual capabilities and determination are always something one can rely on. For example, people from rural areas, who do not have access to advanced equipment have also made significant progress in their learning of sports using their manual efforts.
Finally, in my opinion, having access to newer technological developments or sport machines is not really an essential factor that affects the learning of a new skill such as a sport. I believe it is sufficient if a person is ready to make efforts to acquire this sport, considering that not everyone can afford to pay for the costly machines or online subscriptions. An example from my personal life is when I learned to swim all by myself without spending a penny on the modern devices.
To conclude, although many people might argue that the accessibility to newer technology and equipment are a must for learning a new sport, I agree with the people who believe in their determination, and work hard on their own to achieve this goal.
